When life gives you a potato, make potatoade.
Had to have the top off because there is no R12 in the world to recharge the original AC. It looks and handles much better with it on, but there's nothing like going Magnum P.I. once in a while. I surprised myself when I opened it up in some places! It also gets the same gas mileage no matter what the throttle is doing.
Here's a final picture...
Of not my car.

Haha thank you! It's a deep, dark wormhole of 80s-ness, but someone has to take it! http://jayzayeighty.kinja.com/1622987793?rev…

Thank you! It's a lot of fun when you're on a drive to nowhere and just get to enjoy its character or driving it hard. Old interior and the 6 speed, sounds like fun.

for some weird reason I always thought your C4 was black.
How old does a car in VA have to be to have antique plates? 20, right?

Haha that's funny. "All corvettes are red. The rest are mistakes." Just kidding, I would love one in black. I believe the rule is 25+ yrs a car can qualify as an antique.

Yeah, just looked it up and it's 25.
Hah! *insert picture of triple black C6 ZR1 with SR71 plates*

The car was made to be red... or rather red was made for the car, it just didn't know it yet.

Love the plates. I wish the US would give up the goat on our stupid plates and go European. My state (Colorado) even has cool plates, but your plain black plates look much better. Very nice.

Thank you! I wish they would too. My mother had nice, unobtrusive euro plates on her Z4 that she bought used for some reason (maybe euro delivery or army or something) and the mandatory front plates don't look very good at all.
